Next we will discuss right handed lay up drills. Principles applied are the same, except with right leg you are going to jump off your left foot, you will plant foot and extend with the right arm, okay. You dribble up, step, plant with your left foot, jump, off the center of the backboard. Run up, one, two steps then jump off your left foot, it is always good to plant that right foot before you jump off your left foot. Dribble with your right hand, one, two, step off the backboard. Now it is important to know when to pick up the ball so you do not get called for traveling. As you watch me as I go in slow motion, I am dribbling, I pick it up right here, I am planting with my right foot, I can step with my left, legally and not get called for traveling, then I have to jump and release the shot. I will do it in fast motioning, dribbling with your right hand, plant, up off the glass. That is your right handed lay up drill.
