Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we're talking about enrolling your child in little league. Now enrollment usually begins sometime in November for playing March through mid June and some leagues also offer fall ball which is played from September into late November. If you're going to have your child play little league, if you're going to enroll your child in little league, you really need to understand that it's a commitment and that you really need to be prepared to attend all of the practices unless obviously your child is sick and all of the games. There really are a lot of children and a lot of volunteers that are really counting on your child being there. If there aren't enough players to play, a lot of times games will have to be forfeited and also if your child doesn't show up to practices, it really isn't fair to the other kids who are there every week practicing. So, when game day comes it sort of a tricky situation if your child hasn't been at practice, it doesn't really seem fair that they should get to play. So be sure that you understand that it is a time commitment and that there are a lot of people counting on you.
