All right it is time to show you how to do a smith ride. Like I said you are going to want to make sure your front peg isn't up too high before it gets on the ledge, on your back wheel up on the ledge pretty well and essentially you just want to stay back end looking ahead. It shouldn't be a problem. Going to get a little more speed for this one. And as you saw I came up at a little bit of angle actually. The reason for not coming up parallel to the ledge is that as I hop it allows me to put my front wheel down but I am also traveling sideways so it actually eases the process of picking up my back wheel putting it up on top of the ledge. Once I am up there, stay back pretty well. It keeps the weight as I said off of your front peg and so that is pretty important to keep you from getting pitched over the handle bars. So once you've figured all that stuff out, it is just a little jump back in to get off of it and with a little bit of practice you should be able to take this trick to all different obstacles. I know a lot of people who would probably call the smith grinder the favorite trick. So it is a really fun one and definitely worth your time to learn.
