Forget your typical bottled water. Forget your ibuprofen too. There is a new product on the market that claims to make your workouts better by both hydrating and alleviating pains and achy muscles: cannabis-infused water.

Video of the Day

EVERx CBD Infused Bottled Water is the latest delivery from Puration, Inc., a cannabis-extraction company with lab facilities in Colorado.

But let’s get one thing straight: You won’t have to worry about departing reality mid-workout because EVERx will not get you high. Typical cannabis includes high levels of of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the agent in cannabis that will make you see stars and cheat massively on your diet at odd hours of the night. For EVERx, THC is kept very low and is made primarily from cannabidiol (CBD), a compound used in medical marijuana treatment.

CBD is known to have various health benefits, which Puration pointed out in their latest press release:

“CBD is an ideal component of a pre- and post-workout regimen. CBD works as an anti-inflammatory and relieves muscle spasms. CBD also works to relieve pain. CBD protects the heart, lungs and brain. Often essential when it comes to high-intensity and competitive training, CBD reduces nausea, increases appetite and aids sleep.”

The company also announced their first-ever order of EVERx this week and anticipate sales for 2017 to cross the $1 million mark. Overall, the global bottled-water industry is expected to pass $279 billion by 2020, according to Transparency Market Research. Now that more than half of the states in the U.S. have legalized marijuana for various medical purposes, the market for marijuana water may be flying high.

What Do YOU Think?
