Maintaining your workout regimen during the holidays can be a challenge. Food surrounds you in heaps, travel logistics resemble a 15-column sudoku puzzle and the length of your personal to-do list rivals that of the Nile River.

And as some tend to do around this time of year, we brush aside our fitness. That’s exactly what Miley Cyrus decided to do this year — and it was a choice she quickly regretted.

The pop singer and “The Voice” mentor posted a photo to her Instagram page, lamenting her unfortunate decision to skip her yoga routine for 10 days.

As inconsequential as 10 days may seem, fitness is not like riding a bike: Consistency matters. The various problems that arise when workouts are put on hold can be quite unexpected. Fellow starlet Eva Longoria also experienced a few of these after a long break from exercise.
