Feeling like you're stuck in a rut at work is something most of us have felt at least once or twice. Sometimes, before you know it, you've fallen into complacency and can't tell if you're satisfied enough or just plain bored. So how do you know when it's time to get a new job?
Video of the Day
According to one of Oprah's Supersoul 100, entrepreneur and life coach Marie Forleo, it should be obvious. When you work in a job you love (at least most of the time) you should feel genuinely needed by your employer and team. And if you're not, then there's something better for you out there. In fact, she guarantees it.
As part of our Stronger Women series, we talked to Forleo about how to transition out of an unsatisfying job. Which, she says, is done by counterintuitively tricking yourself into loving the job that you actually hate.
You can do this by bringing your absolute "A-game" to work. As you work towards dominating each day, you'll carry that energy and confidence over into the rest of your life, which will begin brim with opportunities for exploration, networking, education and working on that side hustle. Before you know it, the job that you're destined to be doing will appear.
