The Downtown Aquarium is open until 11 p.m. on Friday nights. That gives you plenty of time to enjoy a date with your loved one or a late night with the whole family. For thrill rides, Kemah Boardwalk is the place to go. Located 30 minutes south of downtown Houston, this amusement area is packed full of restaurants and plenty of exhilarating rides. If you're a daredevil try out the Drop Zone or the Inverter to make your heart skip a few beats. Families can enjoy the Carousel and Kemah Train for a more casual amusement ride experience.
For extreme adventure activities, some indoor rock climbing gyms are open on weekend nights, including the Texas Rock Gym and Stone Moves. But if rock climbing just isn't extreme enough for you, try jumping out of a perfectly good airplane with Skydiving Houston. For some old-fashioned roller skating fun, head to Dairy Ashford Roller Rink. This family-run rink has been in operation since 1974.
