When you are traveling, you may not have easy access to an iron. Or, just reduce the amount of time ironing for environmental reasons--according to the Daily Green website, the average portable iron draws out approximately 1,000 to 1,800 watts of energy during use. Instead of showing up to an important meeting with wrinkles, you can find a way to remove them without an iron.

Step 1

Put clothes on a hanger. If clothes are placed on hangers after being taken out of the dryer, this action removes wrinkles naturally, according to the Daily Green website.

Step 2

Spritz the wrinkled areas of the clothing pieces with a small mist of water. If you happen to have a wrinkle relaxant spray available for use, mist the clothing pieces with this solution instead of water.

Step 3

Hang the clothing pieces in the shower. Close the bathroom door and allow the steam from the shower to work the creases out as you place the clothing iron on a hanger secured to a towel rack or door hook. If you are not planning to take a shower, you may instead run the shower on the hottest water setting for several minutes, according to "Good Housekeeping" magazine.

Step 4

Remove wrinkles with a hair dryer. If steaming in the shower is not effective, a hair dryer may help get wrinkles out. Place the garment flat and point the hair dryer on a heated setting directly over the wrinkles until the wrinkles come out.
