The Golden State of California became a state in the union in 1850. Thanks to the 1800's Gold Rush, the nation saw the greatest migration of settlers head westward to seek their own fortune. Today the same idea holds true, even if only for a sunny or snowy vacation spot. With its ocean shoreline, mountain vistas, deserts, valleys, big cities and sleepy towns, RV campers literally have their pick of the state when it comes to camping spots with full hookups in California.
