How to Straighten Eyelashes

If you have short, curling lashes that you can't get to stand out no matter which makeup techniques you've tried, have no fear. You can try a number of different solutions to straighten your curly lashes, making them appear longer and fuller. In some cases, you may require the help of a professional beautician, as the more permanent solutions require the use of dangerous chemicals that could damage your eyes if mishandled.

Plug in a heated eyelash curler and allow it to warm up to the proper temperature.

Position your lashes inside the curler, but instead of allowing them to curve, draw the curler gently along the length of your lashes, so the heat can penetrate the hair and straighten it.

Apply your regular mascara after straightening to help add the appearance of proper shape, fullness and length to your lashes.

Glue in temporary lash extensions to your natural lashes. The weight of eyelash extensions can draw on naturally curly lashes, helping to straighten them out.

Talk to your stylist about permanent chemical straightening. Similar to a permanent chemical treatment used to relax hair, this treatment will relax the natural curl of your eyelashes for prolonged periods of time, saving you the hassle of having to straighten each morning.
