Acne is problematic no matter where on the body it shows up, but when it takes over a highly visible area such as your chin, it can be quite irritating. Acne is the result of your body producing too much sebaceous oil. This oil is intended to lubricate the skin and hair, but too much of it can cause a buildup in the pores that eventually turns into pimples as it mixes with bacteria and dead skin cells. Clearing acne in this most noticeable of places takes more time than actual effort, but the end results are well worth it.

Apply raw organic honey to your chin twice weekly. Heating it up kills off its healing properties; if you must warm it to make it softer, hold it in your hands and let your body heat do the work. Leave the honey on your skin for 15 to 20 minutes before washing it away with warm water and a soft, clean cloth.
Wash your face daily, but no more than twice a day so as not to dry out the skin. Use a medicated soap or a mild moisturizing soap and rinse your skin off well. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel so as not to irritate it.
Avoid handling your skin with your fingertips, and keep your hair pulled back so as not to transfer more oils onto the affected area. Change out your pillowcase for a clean one every other day to avoid getting oil back onto your face and making your acne worse.
Drink plenty of water to keep your system flushed of toxins and introduce more zinc, L-Carnitine and vitamin A into your daily diet. Talk to your doctor about increasing your vitamin A, as this may not be safe for those who have had liver problems or those who are pregnant.
Apply a topical acne solution to your skin daily that contains benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Opt for a low percentage of either to start in case your skin can’t handle them before purchasing products with higher concentrations. Read and follow the manufacturers’ instructions for proper use.
