Blackheads have a way of taking shelter on your face at the most inconvenient times. They seem to know when you're about to go for that job interview, or your best friend is throwing a party. The pimples that break through the skin and turn a dark tone are common for those with oily skin. While there are store-bought treatments available, many of the most effective ones are produced with natural ingredients. A homemade honey and cinnamon treatment will clear out blackheads while soothing skin to diminish redness. Look to your kitchen for a blackhead treatment, and don't let misbehaving skin ruin your plans.

Pull your hair back, and use a hair elastic to secure it tightly to the top of your head. If you have bangs, put on a hair band to keep them off of your face.
Soak a washcloth in warm water, and gently wash your face with a mild cleanser, moving the cloth in a circular motion. This will exfoliate to bring blackheads to the surface. Gently pat your face dry with a clean towel.
Fill a large pot halfway with water and bring it to a boil. Remove the pot from the stove, and place it on a heat-resistant counter. Hold your face 5 inches above the pot. Place a towel over your head and the pot to trap the steam. Stay here for 2 minutes. This will open your pores to make treatment more effective. Move further away from the pot if the steam is too hot.
Mix 1 teaspoon cinnamon with 1 teaspoon honey in a bowl.
Wash your hands to remove any bacteria. Pick up the mixture with your fingertips and smooth it over your blackheads.
Leave the treatment on for at least 15 minutes, and rinse it off with warm water. Use a clean washcloth to gently dab away any mixture that remains.
