Calories From Nutrients

Each cup of peanuts in their shell packs almost 14 grams of fat, for 125 calories. It also has over 13 g of carbohydrates, for 54 calories, and 8.5 grams of protein, for 36 calories. One cup of shelled peanuts, meanwhile, has almost 40 grams of fat, 38 grams of carbohydrates and 24 grams of protein, for 360, 152 and 96 calories, respectively.

Considerations

If you like boiled peanuts but want to avoid eating too many calories, buy the peanuts in-shell and shell them yourself. By taking the time between eating each nut to shell the next one, you'll allow your body to realize when it's full and likely eat fewer peanuts overall.
