In fast-paced first-person shooters like the "Call of Duty" collection, staying mobile and moving quickly can make all the difference in your game play. In every "Call of Duty" game, you can make your player sprint by pressing in on the right joystick. Unfortunately, you can only sprint for a short duration. In the newer games like "Black Ops" and "Modern Warfare," some perks you can use and some weapons you can carry will make your player run and move much faster.

"Modern Warfare"

Equip the "Extreme Conditioning" perk to your character in the "Create a Class" menu in "Multiplayer." This will allow you to sprint for a longer period of time.

Equip a light weapon to your class such as an SMG or a shotgun. If you aren't sure how light a weapon is, check the mobility level of the weapon in the "Create a Class" section.

Run long distances with your pistol equipped instead of your main weapon. You run faster with a pistol equipped than your regular weapon, regardless of how mobile it is. You can change between your weapons by pressing the "Y" button on Xbox 360 and the "triangle" button for PS3.

"World at War"

Equip the "Extreme" conditioning perk in the "Create a Class" section of "Multiplayer." Like in "Modern Warfare," the "Extreme Conditioning" perk will allow you to sprint longer.

Equip your class with a light weapon like the Thompson or the MP44. Again, check the weapon's mobility rating in the "Create a Class" section when you are setting up your class.

Switch to your pistol when running great distances to run faster. Press "Y" on the Xbox 360 to bring out your pistol and the "triangle" button on PS3.

"Modern Warfare 2"

Equip your character with both the "Marathon" and "Lightweight" perks. "Marathon" allows your player to sprint indefinitely and "Lightweight" will make your player move quicker.

Complete the challenges for "Marathon" and "Lightweight" to upgrade them to their Pro versions. "Marathon Pro" will allow you to get over obstacles quicker and "Lightweight Pro" will allow you to aim down the sights after running much quicker than before. For "Marathon Pro," you have to sprint a total of 26 miles in the game using the "Marathon" perk and for "Lightweight Pro," you have to sprint 30 miles using the "Lightweight" perk.

Equip your player with a lightweight weapon such as the MP5 or the P90. The higher the mobility rating shown at the bottom of the weapon's ratings, the lighter the weapon is and the faster you will run with it equipped.

Switch to your secondary weapon to move even faster. Unlike the previous games, you can have a shotgun, machine pistol, handgun or launcher as your secondary weapon. All the weapons aside from the launchers will allow you to move quicker. Press "Y" on the Xbox 360 or the "triangle" button on PS3 to switch to your secondary weapon.

"Black Ops"

Purchase and equip the "Marathon" and "Lightweight" perks in the "Create a Class" menu in "Multiplayer."

Complete the challenges for both the "Marathon" and "Lightweight" perks to unlock their pro versions. "Marathon Pro" will allow you to sprint forever and "Lightweight Pro" eliminates damage received from falling.

Equip your character with a lightweight weapon such as the SPAS12 shotgun or the Spectre SMG. Light weapons with a high mobility rating will allow your player to move quicker.

Equip your player with the ballistic knife or a handgun other than the Python for the secondary weapon. These weapons are extremely mobile, especially the ballistic knife, and will allow your player to move even faster.
