The source of this pain may be ligament stretching in your pelvis. As your baby grows, your pelvis and ligaments change shape to accommodate these changes. This can cause pain in the vagina.
Late Pregnancy Pain
Once you get into the third trimester, you may develop a sudden pain in your vagina. This pain may appear right after walking or other exercise, and it is often associated with your baby shifting position. As your baby moves, it may put pressure on the surrounding nerves and you may feel a pounding pain or a sharp pain in the vagina. Combat this problem by sitting or resting comfortably with your feet up.
This problem affects many women during pregnancy. As the baby grows and hormones are released throughout your body, your digestive track may slow dramatically. This can be quite painful and while you may feel pain from constipation at any time, you may feel it more severely after walking or other exercise. Eat fiber and drink water or prune juice to combat this problem, recommends Parents.com.
Pregnant women may feel other symptoms besides vaginal pain during or after exercise. These problems include nausea, dizziness, sudden change in body temperature, heart palpitations, calf swelling, vaginal bleeding, blurred vision, fainting and fluid leaking from the vagina.
