Motivation: Find Your Passion

"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Oftentimes in our pursuit of our "better selves," we lose sight of what we're passionate about--what makes our hearts beat faster in anticipation, what we could talk about with friends (or strangers) for hours, what makes each day a new adventure. And instead, we focus on what we think we should do. We should go to Spin class. We should eat a kale salad.

But life is short. So if you aren't enjoying your fitness and nutrition routines, why bother? Find something you enjoy and do it! Experiment with different fitness classes or head outdoors to a playground for an improvised workout. Walk and catch up with coworkers on your lunch break. Spend some time on finding healthy recipes with some of your favorite ingredients. Join a community garden.

You don't have to be stuck inside running endlessly on a treadmill. You can get creative! And in the process, you just might uncover a new passion, and that in and of itself is achieving something truly great.

So tell us: What are you passionate about? And how do you incorporate your passions into your daily life? Let us know in the comments below.
