The default is 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat. Try that at first and see if it works. Many people have success with it. Others like an even split of all three. I was doing that but now I'm on 40% fat, 30% protein, 30% carbs.

Looks like you are nailing it, to me! Great job.
I shoot for 40/30/30. Sometimes I make it, other times I don't. -

Do some research about macros, since it's different for everyone. I personally come in around 30/20/50 most days and have no problem with that.

Not bad.
You could add some veggies to your eggs in the morning too and make an omelette. I would skip the clif bar and have some real food for lunch, just make sure you get some protein and fats to go with the quinoa.
I get the tortilla chips--yum, but they too are processed, so how about some veggie and hummus dip? That will help you get some more fiber.
I know you are new to this, and it's a process (quite honestly, I eat some bad stuff most days too. I'm typically an "everything in moderation" type person.) You'll figure things out as you go along.

Thanks, John! Great suggestions. Last night I started craving salt, so that's where the chips came in, haha. I was eating fast food about every day for the past month solid. I can be such an addict to salt. :/
Veggies are the hardest thing for me to include. I have some frozen bags that I'm mixing in with the shredded chicken and cheese, but that's about it. -

Thank you, heathjp, I agree with Johnson! I like to see the whole picture as it helps me with mine too.

One of my favorite low cal recipes is grilled, smothered chicken nachos from one of The Biggest Loser cookbooks, so I have chips too sometimes.
It's really hard to be 100% healthy. Part of the deal I made with myself when I started back in 2011 was that if I exercised I got to eat those calories back as dessert. If I don't exercise, I don't get dessert. Needless to say, I exercise almost every day. -

Mmmm... that sounds amazing. Next week's challenge will be fresh veggies with hummus dip! Ya'll are the greatest!

Here ya go.

I modify mine. I add sour cream, tomato, lettuce and onion. I omit the jalapeno. If I don't have chicken, I'll double up on the beans. White navy beans and kidney beans are really good on this too. -

i saute veggies or grill them in large batches as part of my weekly prep.
easy to add to eggs and such and tastes great!!!
yeah those clif bars are BARELY better than candy.
you could make your own
lots of folks like the overnight oats for grab and go
you could do egg/meat/veggie "muffins" for grab and go foods too
you are doing well!! if you are getting results with foods you enjoy, even if they are "bad" on occasion, don't feel bad about the way you eat. hahaha
if you don't like how your results are coming, you know where to look.
misery and deprivation will lead to failure. ALWAYS. enjoy your food!
keep up the good work! -

So many great ideas!!! I love it! That's it, I'm starting a food idea box right now.
What the heck is a meat/egg muffin? thats not like your stud muffin thing earlier is it? Haha
Oh, and Sparty, don't listen to all the haters out there. I don't think you are rude at all. -

The problem I have is keeping the macros at that percentage and increasing calories. I need 1445 to eat healthfully (5'4", age 59, 168 lbs right now). And I do exercise 30 minutes in the am for 300 calories with the elliptical, bike and weights, walk at lunch for 30 minutes at a heart rate average of 130. So I know I need to eat back those calories without recking my macros.
