Have you transformed your body and your life, lost weight and gotten healthy?

If you did it because you knew your fit self was in there ready for that tough mudder, you inspired by the Olympic trials, you were tired of being tired after climbing stairs, or for any other reason - we would love to hear your story!

    • This is my journey in the making. My name is Jenny I started at 222 pounds. I was depressed do to many heath issues and surgeries. 6 months before my 40th birthday I thought I would try again to lose weight and become healthy. I tried many times in the past and always gave up. Some how this time was different I was determined! I started out by not drinking sweet tea with dinner and changed my sugar in my coffee to Splenda. Then I started eating more believe it or not for the past 7 years I only ate dinner and desserts. I stopped having desserts and started walking on the treadmill. My goal was 50 pounds, as of today I have lost 68 pounds and would like to lose 20 more. I found this site and started tracking everything I ate and worked out with the videos. When I started "Fire" I thought I was going to die, but as time went on I got STRONGER... and now I do them many times a week. I also lost 60 inches over all. I went from a size 18 to a size 6. The very best thing about doing this for myself Is that I like who I am now. I walk around with my head up high. I feel the best I have ever felt in my life!

      smile a lot of us have figured that surprising fact out as well - eat more, lose weight!

    • I am Johny, and I have found livestrong extremely helpful in my weighloss journey. I have lost 42 pounds so far in 4 months.
      My weight loss can be attributed to the following principles:
      1. Diet, I follow a keto diet, mostly adhere to the fattonguerotein:carb ratios strictly. This I feel is very monumental to my weight loss, as keto helps in curbing hunger and cutting the bad carbs.

      2. Intermittent Fasting: I follow a 8 hour feed and 16 hour fast window, this again is very important for the body to burn fat and also to start healing. (Remember fasting == healing)

      3. Exercise: I follow Tony's P90 Monday, Wednesday and Fridays , I do the Scuplt B during these days. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I follow Shaun's Focus T25 Alpa ab interval training followed by 20 minutes of stationary bike cycling.

      4. Hiking: I have been hiking every weekend without fail, atleast 8 miles and 2000+ elevation climb. This has greatly helped me in endurance and toning my lower body. For the July 4th weekend, I hiked Mission Peak in Fremont, all 3 days.

      I hope this helps people out there on their journey of getting to live strong.

    • My name is Julie and I started at 334 lbs and now weigh 179 lbs resulting in 155 lbs lost! I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes which was a wake up call for me to start losing weight. I made a life change and it's the best decision I've ever made. I stopped eating carbs and high sugar items and have a protein rich diet. I eat 4-5 small meals every day and exercise daily. I've even taken up running and cut 10 mins off my 5k time!

    • For years, I was made fun of because of my weight and, because of that, I've always been ashamed to post pictures of myself from when I was younger..... but my God believed in me. Through his love, strength, wisdom, patience and, guidance, I became the person I am today and no one can take that from me. I'm not posting this picture to show off but to show people that anything is possible with God. At my heaviest I was 240 lbs and now I'm 160. I don't eat processed foods and I engage in some sort of physical activity at least 5 times a week (swimming, biking, hiking, running, weight lifting, etc.). I like to have fun with my workouts and I love having a workout buddy! I try not to eat after 8 pm, either. My weight loss has helped me to lead a happier more fulfilling life. I know that I can accomplish anything with the right mindset.

    • After 5 years of an eating disorder, a stress fracture took me out of running. I had no idea what do to, so I started lifting. As my body grew and I got stronger, I realized I loved this new me! Why be skinny and frail when I could be strong? 15 pounds heavier in this photo, but no scale can measure the happiness and life I have gained!

    • Hi, my name is Prima. Post delivery, I have gotten serious about my health, lost weight and gotten back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Below are my details:

      Weight while 9months pregnant (Aug 4th 2015)= 198.4lbs
      Weight on December 8th 2015 = 187.4lbs (the picture on the left side)
      Weight as on July 25th 2016= 162lbs (picture on the right side)

      I did the following workouts:

      1. JM 30day shred
      2. Livestrong 8weeks Stronger challenge
      3. Shaun T's 8weeks Insanity max30 challenge (just completed 4weeks)

      Also, I clock a minimum of 13000 steps a day, do core exercises (planks, crunches, leg raises, back extensions), Zumba workouts etc.

      My next aim is to reach my wedding weight (around 8lbs), small goals for now!

      congratulations, Rosa! It's great being a healthy role model, even if the little is little.

      Make sure you're eating enough to compensate for feeding the little as well as yourself.
