frequent blackouts

Hi, I'm new to this forum and don't know if this is the appropriate place to put this inquiry but I'm a social drinker, I'd never say I had a drinking "problem", I don't crave alcohol or withdraw if I'm not drinking but I've noticed when I drink (even a few glasses of wine) I will have conversations I don't remember or behave a way I wouldn't normally. People will mention things I said or conversations we had while I was drinking and I'm shocked at how little memory I have of these things. I guess you could say it's "blacking out" but I'm not passed out by any means. I'm standing up, I'm conversing with others but the next day I have no recollection of things I did or said the night before.
Has anyone experienced this? Is this a symptom of a different problem or is alcohol handled differently in your early 30's?
