Exactly how many calories?

I just started to use this app a week ago because I wanted to start going easy on myself and try to lose weight slower in a more practical way. I discovered this app lets us choose a certain amount of NET calories.

I consumed usually below 1500 calories a day in the past and never taken into account how much my walking, workouts, cardio burns.

Should I use the NET calories as my guide now or stick to eating below 1500 calories even on days where i burn up to 700 calories which puts me on at "eating" only 800 calories a day??
