A New Day #GoKetoIF

I'm 6'1" 415 lbs yah that's Dam on the Fluffy scale. I am glad to say this is not the heaviest I have been but it's far from ideal. I'm not looking to wear some new outfit I'm truly looking to get my diabetes sugars under control. But I'll take the weight loss. last week I discovered Intermittent Fasting and Keto. I've been doing 16:8 with no issues. I gave up all the sugars including the artificial ones. this is a 180 from what the ADA tells you to doas a dibetic with your meals. The other thing I did which is my choice I'm not advising anyone else to do is stopped taking any medicine that is diabetic specific pills and insulins. I will never again put those poisons in My body. I want to say it hasn't been week and I'm feeling great. I've heard something about keto flu...maybe I'm not there yet or I felt so crappie from the carbs, sugar and insulin that even having that is an improvement. Last couple days I've started drinking 1 24 oz cup of coffee with 2 tablespoons of butter. Never been a coffee drinker but I'm liking it and keeping it. I'm trying not to increase my protein to much. I'm hoping this app will help me keep a really good eye on that and my fat intake so I keep the macros where they need to be to be successful. Tomorrow I go to do my first grocery shopping on the keto life. I made my list and I actually think I'm going to save a lot of money vs what I was buying. I will have to go shopping more frequently to keep things fresh. It is amazing how good your vegetables are when you can add the fat and salt to them. I've already took advantage of that money savings and bought an immersion blender which I think will be very handy.
