Abs Workout

I've been trying to do exercise, and one of the workouts my program recommends has a bunch of abs exercises. (Crunches, knee toucher, heel toucher, simplified Russian twists)

The problem is I DON'T know how to do them correctly! No matter what I try, I don't feel any "burn" in my abs. It all feels very unnatural and the only soreness I'm left with is my neck. Also, this is a beginners workout and pretty light.
