Activity tracking

Up until the beginning of the week or so the app was only tracking my activity from my Apple Watch. This week it started to also include the calories from my phone so I have to manually delete my phone steps every single time I log food to make sure I'm hitting my goal. When I relog the calories burned from my phone are added back on. I've looked everywhere in the app in settings and preferences and every in iPhone settings including in health and app settings to tell it to ONLY track my Apple Watch calories and not both but I can't find it. I've used this app on and off since about 2014 and I don't remember this ever being a problem before. Is there a way to fix it? I don't know if it started with an update or not, I don't have apps auto update and I don't remember if it's one I clicked on to update last week or not. It's annoying deleting and I'll admit it messed me up a couple days at the beginning of the week when I had been moving and on my feet all day and I didn't notice that it said I burned nearly double calories what I burn in a day.
