how do I log part of a meal?

I created a meal in MyPlate that has multiple servings. How do I add only one serving to, say, Breakfast?

    • Tap on the meal after selecting breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and change the servings to 1 instead of 4 or whatever the serving amount is there. Then tap "I ate this", and it should automatically compute for a single serving.

Thanks for the reply! So, let me see if I understand: let's say I create a meal "smoothie" which has 10 ingredients and makes 4 servings. How do I enter the smoothie into breakfast for just one serving? Do I have to change all 10 ingredients each time?

    • When you created the meal did you input that it was 10 servings? If so when you tap on breakfast and open the meal up at the top rigjt where it says "servings" you can change the 10 to 1. Otherwise create a meal with the 10 ingredients as 1 serving and if you have 2 servings you can change the servings from 1 to 2.

      Hi Jamtastic!

You are confusing Meals with Recipes.

      Hi rick_p!

We are working on bringing a custom Recipe function to the app and hope to include this in a future update!

Our team is aware of a bug with the Recipe function on the desktop site. I apologize for the frustration this has caused. It can take some time to fully diagnose and resolve bugs. We greatly appreciate your patience while we work on resolving this issue.

In the meantime, I would recommend using the Custom Meal feature to create and log a meal equal to one serving of the recipe. To create a Custom Meal: Select Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snack, and then tap "My Meals". Select "Create a New Meal" and enter the foods you would like to group together.

I suggest keeping track of how much of each ingredient you put into the meal. You can then divide each ingredient by how many servings are in the meal (e.g. if the meal makes 6 servings, divide each ingredient by 6) and use these figures to create the Custom Meal.

      I apologize for the inconvenience.

    • My apologies. Sorry I confused you. I didn't know there was a recipe button.
