is under goal okay?

my goal is to lose weight (only a little and gradually). is it okay if i am not meeting the goal calories each day? will that make me lose weight or actually get me farther from my goal?

    • You will lose weight, but it won't be healthy or sustainable. Starvation, despite the popular myth, doesn't magically make you fatter but it does damage your body and lead to muscle loss and binge eating later. There is no reason to radically under eat and engage in extreme behavior when a moderate calorie deficit and exercise program will do the same thing much more safely.
