does anyone have recommendations for foods with protein? im hitting my calories but severely lacking in protein.

    • I had the same problem. Started using protein drinks or powder to make smoothies once a day. If you don't like the taste add fruit or good yogurt or both with some ice. Protein drink from SAMS Club has 30 grams of protein

    • My dietician suggested sneaking in protein everywhere I can.

      For instance, substitute rice for quinoa, snack on edamame beans, hide chickpeas in your salad (or make them into a salad!) pop some dried mushrooms into your soups and stews.

      When I meal plan I choose my protein first and then use up my remaining calories. Good luck!

    • I would find a good plant based protein. Mix with some unsweetened soy milk, almond milk, oat milk or coconut milk. Then add some fruit and or veggie. Soy milk has more protein.

    • Oikos yogurt
      Hummus w/ veggies (protein and fiber)
      ISO 100 vanilla protein powder with instant coffee makes a great drink in the summer if you enjoy cold coffee flavored drinks
      Lunch meat (wrap the meat around sliced veggies like carrots or sliced bell peppers) for a lovely crunch
      Apples with peanut butter (protein and fiber)
