Black Mission Fig and Ricotta Bites

Here are bites that provide that satisfying combination of dietary fiber and protein.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 1

  • 2 piece Organic Black Mission Figs
  • 8 Whole Grain Crackers
  • 1/3 cup Low-fat Ricotta Cheese

DIRECTIONS

1 Remove the stems from the fig and cut into 4 slices each.
2 Top each cracker (such as Mary’s Gone Crackers) with the ricotta, then the fig slices.
3 Add salt to taste, if desired.
4 Optional Add-on: Honey and/or aged balsamic vinegar.
