Crispy Rice Treats

These rice treats aren't like the kind from your childhood. Ditch the marshmallow and opt for cozy maple syrup and heart-healthy almond butter. Almond butter is full of healthy fat, protein and fiber, but beware of store-bought versions with added salt and sugar.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 16

  • 3/4 cup Almond Butter
  • 3/4 cup Honey
  • 6 cups Crispy Brown Rice Cereal- No Salt Added
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 cup Sprinkles, Rainbow

DIRECTIONS

1 Melt your nut butter with sweetener on the stovetop or in the microwave.
2 Measure out your crispy rice cereal in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
3 Pour sweet mixture into the crispy rice cereal and mix well.
4 Add salt and funfetti, mix well.
5 Spritz an 8 x 8 baking dish with cooking spray.
6 Scrape mixture into baking dish and press firmly into place. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

8 Opt for vegan sprinkles to keep this dessert 100 percent plant-based.
