Fruity Kefir

Fruity Kefir

If you’re not familiar with kefir, it’s a delicious, tart, drinkable yogurt.



  • 2 kefir grains
  • 4 cups Whole Milk
  • 1 cup Mixed Berries (frozen)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract


1 Place grains in a large mason jar and add milk.
2 Let sit overnight on the counter, until thick, Greek yogurt consistency.
3 Pour into a fine mesh strainer and using a spoon gently push through until just the grains remain.
4 Pour strained kefir into a blender; mix in fruit, syrup and vanilla extract and blend. Pour back into original mason jar and place into the fridge.
5 Rinse grains, add to a small container and add about ½ cup milk to store until next batch. Keep this in fridge.
6 Meanwhile, drink the finished kefir within five to seven days and repeat the entire process.
