Turmeric, also known as Indian saffron, is produced from a tropical plant related to ginger. Turmeric is commonly ground into a bright yellow powder, and it?s used traditionally as a flavoring and coloring agent in South Asian cuisines.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 1

  • 1/4 cup Oatmeal-Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup 100% Coconut Water
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Milk
  • 2 medium Tangerine
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Honey

DIRECTIONS

1 Process oatmeal in a blender until finely ground.
2 Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
3 For a thicker smoothie, let stand 5 minutes before serving.
4 * Honey can be substituted for agave nectar. Adding sweetener is optional.
