Healthier Turkey Chili

Who doesn't love chili? Enjoy this guilt free version on game day or any day of the week.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 8

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 1/2 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Chopped Onions
  • 2 cups Water
  • 28 oz Peeled Crushed Tomatoes
  • 16 oz Kidney Beans
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Chili Powder Generic
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano, Dried
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper, Red Or Cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Salt*
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper

DIRECTIONS

1 PREP:
2 Chop onion
3 Drain, rinse, and mash kidney beans
4 Mince garlic
5 INSTRUCTIONS:
6 Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Place turkey in the pot, and cook until brown. Stir in onion, and cook until tender.
7 Pour water into the pot. Mix in tomatoes, kidney beans, and garlic. Add chili powder, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, and pepper.
8 Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 30 minutes.
9 Enjoy!
