INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 tsp Simple Syrup

3 dash Aromatic Bitters

2 oz Bourbon

1/2 tsp Pernod

1 tbsp Lemon Peel, Raw
DIRECTIONS

In a shaker, combine ice, whiskey, syrup and bitters.

Stir -- don't shake -- the mixture until the whiskey is chilled.

Coat a chilled martini glass with Pernod, pouring out any excess -- unless you like a stronger flowery taste from the anise.

Pour in the whiskey concoction.

Twist the lemon peel and use it to garnish the cocktail or toss it right in for tart hints.
