High in natural saturated fats, coconut oil can increase good cholesterol and promote heart health. You’ll also add a sprinkling of sea salt and maple syrup to complement the nuttiness of the acorn squash.

  • 1 Whole Acorn Squash
  • 3 tsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 tsp Maple Syrup
  • 1/8 tsp Sea Salt

1 Depending on how big your fry pan is, you might need to do two batches so use the oil and maple syrup accordingly.
2 Place 2 teaspoons of coconut oil into a fry pan over medium heat.
3 Add squash slices in a single layer and sprinkle lightly with sea salt.
4 Cook with a lid until brown on one side, and flip to the other side, cooking for two more minutes.
5 Add the maple syrup and mix to coat. Cook for a couple minutes more.
6 Repeat if necessary to use up all of the squash slices.
