Mini Meatball Fries

Mini Meatball Fries

This adorable appetizer practically screams “party time!” The secret is to form the tiny meatballs, poke a chopstick through them then insert the fry. You can dip these in regular ketchup, mustard, or mayo, but the meatballs have enough interesting flavor that they’re great alone too. Ground beef is mixed with ground turkey for the richness of beef alongside the lightness of turkey, and almond flour is used in lieu of any starches.



  • 2 medium cooked sweet potato
  • 1/4 lb cooked ground beef (93% lean)
  • 1/4 lb Ground Turkey
  • 3 tbsp Shallots, raw
  • 2 tbsp Basil, fresh
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Almond Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper, Coarse Black


1 Make sure your sweet potatoes are sliced 1/4 thick and roasted for 25-35 minutes until crispy before beginning this recipe
2 Preheat oven to 375 degrees
3 Mix all ingredients except fries together in a mixing bowl until well incorporated
4 Form meatballs out of mixture, approximately 1 tsp of mixture per meatball
5 Poke a chopstick all the way through each meatball
6 Place a fry through the hole, and center meatball on fry
7 Bake on a parchment lined baking sheet for 10 minutes, until meatballs are well done
