Pan-Roasted Filet of Beef

Simple and satisfying, serve with veggies or a salad.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 1

  • 4 oz lean beef filet
  • 1 dash salt and pepper

DIRECTIONS

1 Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
2 Season the filet to taste with salt and black pepper.
3 Lightly spray an ovenproof skillet with olive oil spray and heat over medium-high heat until nearly smoking.
4 Add the filet; cook each side for 5 minutes.
5 Transfer the pan to the oven and roast 8 minutes more for medium rare.
