Pistachios have a butter taste making this spread a guilty pleasure without the guilt.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 10

  • 2 cups Pistachio - No Shell
  • 1/2 tsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch Salt

DIRECTIONS

1 Place pistachios in blender or food processor until desired consistency is reached.
2 OPTIONAL: add very small amounts of olive oil, 1⁄2 teaspoon at a time, for a creamier texture (note: this will add more healthy fats, but also additional calories)
3 OPTIONAL: add salt to taste, a pinch at a time (note: this will add sodium to a naturally sodium-free food)
4 Storage: Store covered in air-tight container in refrigerator for 1-2 months.
