This is a comfort food recipe, reinvented. Pita stands in for traditional crust, while reduced-fat cheese replaces a full-fat version.

2 100% Whole Wheat Pita

1 cup Shredded Chicken Homemade

1/4 cup Tomato Sauce

1 cup Reduced Fat Shredded Mozzarella

1 dash Sriracha
DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to low broil. Place pitas on foil-covered baking sheet. Spray both sides with fat-free cooking spray. Broil until slightly browned on each side.

Toss shredded chicken with desired amount of Sriracha in bowl. Set aside.

Spread tomato sauce on pitas. Top with cheese, then chicken mixture.

Optional: Top with fresh torn basil leaves and fresh ground black pepper.
