Spicy Gingered Carrot Fries

We just had to season our homemade carrot fries with fresh ginger, with a bit of cayenne and turmeric for a little extra flavor. Those yummy seasonings have lots of health benefits, too. They’re all packed with antioxidants to promote healthy cell growth, while the carrots supply lots of vitamin A.



  • 2 medium raw carrots
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Ginger Root
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp Tumeric


1 Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2 Peel the carrots and cut them into fries approximately 3-4 inches long and ½- to ¾-inch thick.
3 Toss the fries with the oil, grated ginger, cayenne and turmeric in a mixing bowl until evenly coated.
4 Transfer to a baking sheet lined with greased parchment paper, then bake for 20 to 25 minutes, turning the fries after 15 minutes.
5 Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
