Packed with oats, this Upton Bircher muesli is a nutritious way of starting the day. Whole oats are rich in antioxidants and contain plenty of fiber. They are also known to lower cholesterol levels. Greek yogurt adds protein and probiotics, creating a balanced waking up meal.



  • 2 cups Quaker Oats
  • 3/4 cup Dried Fruit
  • 1/2 cup Evaporated Milk
  • 1/4 cup Coconut, Flakes
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt


1 ADD: Fresh fruit (banana, apples, berries, citrus, whatever you like)
2 Pistachios, almonds or other nuts to taste
3 Combine oats with all other ingredients and stir to ensure that the oats are coated with milk. Put in an airtight container and refrigerate for 8-12 hours. In the a.m., combine 1/2 to 1 cup of the muesli mix with 1/4 -1/2 cup nonfat yogurt and 1/2 cup of fresh fruit (chopped apple, berries, banana, citrus, etc) of your choice and then sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
4 This hearty breakfast provides whole grains, at least two servings of fruit, a dairy serving and has no added sugars. The protein of yogurt coupled with all the fiber-filled foods will keep you full until lunch.
