Vegan Pesto

This parm-free pesto swaps out pine nuts in favor of pistachios. Pistachios are packed with nutrients and are unique from other nuts in that they have lutein and zeaxanthin, two nutrients important for keeping your peepers healthy. Some ways you can use it are as a bread dip, salad dressing or pasta sauce.



  • 1/2 cup Pistachios
  • 2 Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 1/2 garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil, Extra Virgin
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt


1 Add pistachios, fresh basil leaves, half garlic clove and olive oil to blender or food processor.
2 Combine on high speed until everything is mixed together well.
3 Add salt to your liking.
