Vegan Power Soup Smoothie

Here you’ll find traditionally popular smoothie ingredients like gingerroot, lemon juice and cayenne.



  • 2 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 serving Lg White Onion
  • 2 tsp LEMON Juice, Fresh Squeezed
  • 1 1/2 tsp Ginger Root
  • 1 cup Split Green Peas
  • 1 cup Organic Sweet Beans, Shelled Edamame, Frozen
  • 4 1/2 cups low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 1 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp Spices & Seasonings, Ground Cayenne Pepper
  • 10 leaf fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup Almonds, Natural Sliced


1 Heat the oil in a stockpot over medium. Add the onion and lemon juice and sauté until softened, about 8 minutes. Add the ginger and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
2 Add the uncooked split peas, frozen edamame, broth, salt, and cayenne and bring to a boil over high. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, covered, until the split peas are fully cooked through, about 28 minutes. Stir in the basil.
3 Puree the soup until velvety smooth in batches in a blender (using the “hot fill/liquid” line as a guide). Return to the clean stockpot and bring back to a simmer. Adjust seasoning.
4 Ladle into bowls or mugs, sprinkle with the almonds (preferably toasted), and serve.
