Forearm strain is usually caused by overuse, from a job where you have a lot of small motion of your hands, such as sitting at a desk using a mouse, or from too much tension on the muscle, causing a tear. Such as from lifting too much weight. Some exercises that you can do to strengthen your forearms would be the wrist flexion and the wrist extension. Wrist Flexion & Extension. To flex it you flex down with a light weight and then extend back up. Down, hold for a few seconds, and back up. You would repeat this 10 times and work your way up to 20. Once 20 becomes easy go up to a slightly heavier weight and start at 10 again. And repeat this once a day. Forearm pronation and supination. Another exercise you can do is the forearm pronation and supination. So you would keep your elbow in and bent at a 90 degree angle. Turning it out, like this, and then twist it back up.
