I'm Dr. Berg. I'm going to show you how to improve a cough after a head cold. There's nothing worse than having your child coughing and coughing and coughing. In this video, we're going to give you some tips on how to improve coughing. Now, it is true that a child takes longer to recover because they're immune system is learning from being exposed to microbes. But there are things you can do to reduce the situation. The first thing I'm going to recommend is simple calcium. Make sure the calcium is not calcium carbonate, it's calcium citrate or a non dairy calcium lactate. The second tip is avoiding milk and sugar, as milk can prolong the infection and the coughing because it can be an allergy. And the next tip is the use of honey, honey is a simple remedy. You can put in a teaspoon or mix it into tea. The only thing with honey is make sure that if your child is under the age of one, there might be a risk of botulism. So, make sure that you do not want to give the child under the age of one, honey. Now if your child has coughing and a fever, I always like to add trace minerals because that can actually reduce viral loads.
