How to Use Clarins Cleansing Milk

Clarins Cleansing Milk with Alpine Herbs is a facial cleanser intended for use by people with normal to dry skin types. The cleanser contains several natural ingredients, including St. John's Wort, marshmallow, sweet almond and linden to moisturize. It also contains melissa, juniper and arnica for toning. The product also won a "Best Cleanser" award from Town and Country magazine in 2007. This cleanser is designed to be gentle on skin, thereby limiting skin irritation.

Step 1

Place a quarter-sized dollop of cleansing milk into the palm of your hands. Rub hands together gently to warm the cleanser.

Step 2

Apply cleansing milk by placing palms flat on the face. Hold hands in place for approximately 30 seconds. Quickly move hands to another part of the face and repeat. Continue until entire face and neck are covered. The cleansing milk will thicken as it sits on the face, which Clarins literature states will draw out impurities in the skin and remove makeup.

Step 3

Remove cleanser from the face with a tissue or by rinsing with warm water.

Step 4

Follow with application of toner, according to Clarins product recommendations.

Step 5

Gently pat skin dry.
