Human pheromones are chemicals in the body that create a natural scent that attracts individuals of the opposite sex to one another. More commonly referred to as the chemical attraction between two people, men and women give off different pheromones. Some people produce higher amounts of these chemicals, which may be why they tend to draw more admirers. Since there seems to be a connection between female pheromones and male testosterone levels, increasing testosterone may be the secret.

Step 1

Exercise to raise testosterone levels. Perform weight-bearing exercises that focus on working large muscle groups. Keep in mind that it is more beneficial to do fewer repetitions lifting a heavier weight. The sweat you excrete through your pores also spreads your body’s natural pheromones over your skin.

Step 2

Eat foods high in zinc. The mineral not only increases testosterone levels, but also enhances male fertility. Oysters, shellfish, wheat germ and wheat bran rank at the top of the list. The body cannot produce zinc on its own, so you have to get it from food sources. Red meat, lean pork, chicken, peanuts, eggs, yogurt, milk and cheese are other dietary sources that are moderate in zinc. The key is to eat low-fat, high-protein foods.

Step 3

Take zinc supplements to help your body produce more testosterone. Zinc supplements in small doses may be beneficial. However, if you take too much, you may suffer side effects such as copper deficiency, a lowered immune system or a decrease in good cholesterol levels. You should take no more than 15 mg of zinc daily in addition to the recommended daily allowance of 11 mg for men.

Step 4

Bathe with hot water and no soap. Use sandalwood essential oils instead of deodorant to kill bacteria that can lead to bad body odor. Maintain good hygiene, but don’t overdo it. Showering or bathing less often and less vigorously washes off fewer of your body’s pheromones.

Step 5

Get a good night’s sleep. If you lose sleep, testosterone production slows, causing you to lose your libido.
