Face lifts can be very costly, and of course no surgery goes without risks. There’s also the recovery time and attention needed to the surgical wounds to ensure you don’t end up with visible scarring. For these and many other reasons, people are turning to home remedies for a safe, cost-effective solution to aging. While you likely won't get the surgical results, you can see noticeable improvements by employing home remedies.

Honey & Fruit

One of the most recommended face lift home remedies is a mixture of honey and fruit. In a blender, blend a handful each of strawberries and grapes plus half a pear, half an apple and 1 oz. orange juice. Spread a thin layer of honey over your face, and then spread the fruit mixture on top of the honey. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Rinse the honey and fruit off with warm water. Honey alone is a great mask for the skin and can be left on for 15 minutes by itself before rinsing.

Banana & Cream

Another common recommendation for anti-aging face lifts is a mixture of banana and cream. Peel one medium sized banana. Mash the banana into one quarter cup heavy whipping cream. Prick a vitamin E capsule, and stir the liquid from the capsule into the banana mixture. Spread the mixture onto the face and neck, and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Gently wipe it off with a clean, damp cloth.

Sugar & Eggs

Eggs are rich in nutrients that are beneficial to the skin as these include protein albumin and amino acids. These nutrients help tone and smooth skin. To use, whisk two egg yolks, and then add with 1 tsp. sugar. Smooth the mixture over the face and leave on for 25 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

Keeping underlying muscles toned keeps the skin lifted and tight, since muscles naturally atrophy as you grow older. According to Best International News, facial exercises increase facial muscle strength by 250 percent and skin elasticity by 35 percent in eight weeks.

Using basic contraction and resistance training as with other muscles, toning the face is simple. One example is placing your thumbs pointed down on the outer corner of your eyes, squeeze your eyes tight, slide your thumbs over the contracted muscles, relax and then repeat 10 times. This will help reduce puffiness and improve skin tone around the eyes.
