Neck tape is a product that you secure to the neck to pull back loose skin. It temporarily gives the appearance of a tighter, more youthful neck. It is not very comfortable and is not intended for daily use but is a quick fix for an important day when you want to look your very best. Neck tape consists of two pieces of tape attached by an adjustable elastic band.

Step 1

Purchase neck tape. Neck tape is sometimes known as "instant face lift." It can sometimes be found in beauty supply shops and is readily available on the internet. Face tape is commonly used for actors and actresses, so you may be able to find it in a theatrical supply store. Neck tape generally costs about two dollars a pop but, because it is not reusable, it is often sold in packages containing more than one. Neck tape is also usually sold in sets with other "instant face lift" tapes for the cheeks and chin.

Step 2

Apply one piece of tape one inch beneath one of your ears. The part of tape that is attached to the elastic band will be towards the back. Pull the elastic band and attach the remaining piece of tape to the skin on the other side of your neck, about an inch under the ear. Be sure to pull excess neck skin back as you secure the tape. When both pieces of tape are applied they, with the elastic band, will hold back baggy neck skin. Some varieties of neck tape come with two separate pieces of tape and elastic. Apply both pieces of tape and then secure the elastic band together (like a bra clasp) to pull the neck skin back.

Step 3

Arrange your hair to cover the tape and elastic band. If you have long hair, wear it down over the elastic band. The tape is clear but you may decide to cover the area with some concealer and powder to camouflage it further.

Step 4

Be prepared. You may want to try out your neck tape for a day before a special event to get used to it and see if it gives you the results you desire. Also, keep in mind that if you sweat under the tape it may lose its adhesiveness.
