Hi, my name is Amber Nimedez-Lyftogt with LIVESTRONG.COM, and today I'm going to teach you a few exercises for your third trimester for back pain. So, the first exercise, you're just going to use a chair and you're going to put your legs right up on that chair, scoot your bum nice and close and then you're going to lay down on your back. And then, your arms are going to lower down and then you're going to flip your palms facing up. So, you can hang out in this position for about 10, 15, even 20 minutes and this will take a lot of pressure off of your back. So, you just hang out here for a couple of minutes and then we're going to do a few exercises in this position. The first one, you're going to take a Yoga block, or even just a paper towel roll, whatever you have at home and place it right between your knees. Arms right back up to the side and then you're going to squeeze and release that block. So, you're going to do it for about 30 times, keeping your abs nice and loose, breathing with your diaphragm, just using your inner thighs. When you're done with about 30, you can take that block, place it beside you, you don't need that anymore and then you're going to interlace your fingers together and you're going to do some pull-overs. So, your arms are going to go above the head and then right back above the chest. And you're going to lower and lift your arms about 30 times, keeping your elbows nice and tight. If you can't go all the way back without bending your elbows, just stop where you can go. This is going to really help open up your spine, again, taking the pressure off of your back. You're going to cross your right ankle over the left knee and then you're going to put your arms right back up to the side and then with every exhale, you're going to open up your knee and push it away from your body. And then you're going to switch. Taking the opposite, crossing it over, nice big inhale, exhale push that knee away from your body and then you're going to return right back to the starting position. So, those are some exercises to really help relieve your back pain in the third trimester. My name is Amber Nimedez-Lyftogt with LIVESTRONG.COM.
