Leroy Moore, III with LIVESTRONG.com. Today, we're going to go over some practice drills you can use to stop making that over the top golf swing that causes you to slice the golf ball violently. Over the top move is when the club from the top gets casted, comes over the top and hits those horrible shots. A lot of your friends will tell you, oh you came over the top or you'll say I came over the top with that shot. Instead of giving you a drill, I'm going to give you a tool. Using this tool your body is going to learn to stop making that move. We've got a basic alignment tool. You can buy it at any golf store or any hardware store. So we put it out there, a good club length, stick it in the ground, don't stick it in there too far because you want it to just come out if you hit it. Then what you're going to do is you're going to make swings where you feel like you have to miss that. So instead of making the move over the top, now you're going to try to make the move where you don't hit that. So you make a move in here where you can't hit that stick and that's going to break that over the top movement. With everything I've shown you today, that over the top move should no problem to stop. With LIVESTRONG.com, this is Leroy. Go play some golf.
