Hi, I'm Shane Freels with LIVESTRONG.com. Today, we are going to go over several exercises on how to help women look slim and elongated. The key to this one is is that you have to really get the body back to what we call a good burning state. You want to burn good body fat. One of the best ways you can do that is get into a strength training mode. Now women when I say strength training it doesn't mean you have to use a lot of weight. I'm going to show you some very basic easy exercises that you can use with just your body weight and some five to ten pound dumbbells. It's going to be essential that you make this a circuit so that it keeps your heart rate up. You might even go through a little bit of what we call interval training. But you are also activating every bit of the muscle tissue that we can in the body. So that your body is burning fat. So we are getting rid of all that excess fat that's on the outside as well as the internal fat called visceral fat. And the key to that is getting some good strength training in. Now the key when you are doing a squat make sure you are sitting back on your heels. Good range of motion. Curl to press. Again we are hitting everything we can, full body range of motion. It doesn't take a lot of weight. Keep it nice and easy. And what you are looking at is a rep range of somewhere around 10 to 15 maybe even 20 reps when you feel comfortable with it. But again remember we are making this a circuit so here goes round two alright. We are going to do a lunge. You are going to step out. Make sure that you keep your knee behind your toe. You have good posture, just push back. Go into a curl. Again step out. Make sure the knee is behind the toe. Push back go into a curl. Again you are looking at 10 to 15 each leg alright. Once you've done that you go into the last round. Round number three. We are going to make it a lateral movement. This is a very easy basic step but we are going to work those outer thigh. So this is what I love it's a good lunge position out to the side. Sitting back on your heel keeping that back leg straight, pushing up to a shoulder raise. Again we are going to step out to the other side. Straight across lateral lunge. Sitting back on that heel. Push up, lateral raise. Again think about this full body range of motion. Full body activation. Burning fat and keeping the body nice and slim and elongated. I'm Shane Freels, and I just showed you several good exercises on how to help women look slim and elongated.
